All my work considers the cultural policy rationale of cultural programmes staged within major national and international events. I have developed theoretical and methodological frameworks to evaluate how event cultural programming responds to the cultural policy needs and aspirations of the host-city and assess whether the process results in sustainable legacies such as long-term cultural, social, economic and environmental/physical regeneration.
